Shepherds Fold is a two-bedroom cottage offering comfortable accommodation for four people.…
About the accommodation
The cottage dates from the 16th century and the original beams, slate flooring and fireplace of this listed cottage have been restored and are complemented by central heating and luxury interior furnishing. There is a pleasant dining/sitting room with a gas-fired cast iron stove for a comforting focus on cold winter evenings. A flat screen television, a DVD player and combined CD/cassette/radio are provided.
The fitted kitchen includes integrated fridge, freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher and microwave. A full range of cookware is provided, as well as quality crockery and cutlery. A small conservatory provides a peaceful space to read and is a useful additional space for children to play.
The small terraced garden is well stocked with mature shrubs and offers a delightful space for al fresco dining. There are two bedrooms, both furnished with co-ordinated soft furnishing and pine furniture. The first room has a double bed and the second, two singles. The bathroom has been recently refitted and includes an electric shower over the bath. The cottage is ideally located on a quiet lane with very limited through traffic and within a 3-minute stroll from all the restaurants and shops. A number of established and much-loved walks, such as Troutbeck over Wansfell, start within yards of the front door.
