Grand 4 star Victorian Guest House centrally located in the town of Windermere. All bedrooms are en-suite. Non-smoking throughout. A warm welcome awaits!…

About the accommodation

Kenilworth Guest House was built in 1896 from traditional Lakeland slate and many of the period features have been retained, such as the stained glass and tiled flooring in the entrance porch and the grand open pine staircase.

Under our ownership the house has been thoroughly refurbished, redecorated and fully double-glazed to offer warm and welcoming bed and breakfast accommodation.

We have six en-suite bedrooms and we can now offer a king-size double bedroom, in addition to two doubles, one twin, one family (for three people), and one single room. The bedrooms all have the usual facilities - flat screen digital colour tv, hairdryer, alarm clock, refreshment tray, fluffy towels and wineglasses. In addition our single bedroom has its own DVD player. Do please click through to our own web-site to see photos of all of the bedrooms. (Link below)

We also benefit from retaining our spacious ground floor guests' lounge, with maps and guide books to help plan your stay, colour tv and DVD player.

Our hearty breakfasts are cooked to order and include locally-made Cumberland sausage and free-range eggs delivered from the local farm - vegetarian and lighter alternatives are available of course (meat and non-meat items cooked and served separately). In addition there are cereals, grapefruit, fruit juice, fresh toast and a plentiful supply of tea, coffee or herbal infusions.

We have some private parking and there is free parking on Holly Road.

For everyone's safety and comfort we are completely non-smoking throughout.

Whether you have a car or are reliant on public transport, Kenilworth Guest House is an ideal base from which to explore this beautiful corner of England.

An ideal base for your stay in the Lake District!
