Hill View is a beautiful, garden fronted 18th Century stone, self catering holiday cottage in the Cumbrian village of Burton-in-Kendal. Tastefully renovated and refurbished to high standards with exposed stonework and beamed ceilings. Graded 4* with Quality in Tourism/Visit Britain.
Excellent accommodation from which to explore the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks, Morecambe Bay coastline and the Arnside and Silverdale Area of Oustanding Natural Beauty , which includes the fantastic RSPB reserve at Leighton moss.
A historical village with a butcher & baker, post-office/general store and a very welcoming pub the Kings Arms all within a few minutes walk of 200 year old Hill View cottage. Tennis courts, a bowling green and childrens play area within 5 minutes walk from the cottage.
Glaneils boarding kennels/cattery is nearby.
The Arnside and Silverdale area of oustanding natural beauty is 10 minutes by car and within easy cycling distance (mostly on quiet rural lanes). This tranquil haven is a place where you can relax, visit numerous nature reserves and generally escape the pressures of everyday life. Highlights include the RSPB reserve at Leighton Moss and the local Nature reserve at Warton Crag, with interesting nature trails, bird-watching galore and lots of opportunities to see all sorts of rare wildlife.
Kirkby Lonsdale an historic market town, with numerous traditional local traders and riverside walks to Devils Bridge, a medieval ancient monument.
Kendal, the gateway to the Lakes,is a bustling market town with plenty of fashionable shopping with the addition of K-village, art gallery, a museum of lakeland life and a theatre/arts centre.
Sizergh Castle, Leighton Hall and Levens Hall are all nearby and set in beautiful grounds to explore.
The spacious two bedroomed cottage comprises of an open living/ elevated dining area with a large stone inglenook fireplace with multifuel stove. A well equipped kitchen and separate utility room. Downstairs W.C. First floor with galleried landing, master and twin bedded room, walk in wardrobe and a four piece generous sized bathroom. To the rear is a courtyard.
All gas, electric and bedlinen are included in the price. Initial supply of coal/logs provided.Towels / cot available to hire.

Friday or Saturday changeover day depending upon availability.
A deposit of £80.00 to secure your booking is required and the balance of the holiday cost to be paid 6 weeks before arrival.

Preferred payments cheque, online bank transfer payment.
We ask for a £50.00 damage deposit payable before arrival which is refunded within 2 weeks following departure. (Subject to property inspection)
