About the accommodation

Overlooking a cascading stream, this 17th century watermill conversion nestles in a sheltered hollow at the foot of the magnificent Howgill Fells. Situated in an area noted for its spectacular scenery, this detached stone cottage lies close to the owners’ home and provides very comfortable, warm and well cared for accommodation. A variety of birdlife inhabit the grounds and surrounding fells. Paved pathways lead alongside the tumbling waters to private grassed arbours and patios, where a quiet evening drink or barbecue may be enjoyed. The nearby fells offer hillwalkers superb scenic walks, whilst less demanding walks may be enjoyed along the smaller peaks which surround the old town of Sedbergh just three miles away. Kendal (Lakeland’s capital) lies approximately 8 miles away, with beautiful Dentdale and the whole of the Yorkshire Dales on the doorstep.
