Side Farm Campsite - Ullswater
A relatively small simple campsite at the southern end of Ullswater at the foot of Place Fell. Around 10mins walk from Patterdale village.
Open Easter to October.Sited between Place Fell and Ullswater lake along an unmade track,(adds to that 'get away from it all' feeling!) an ideal base for walking,mountain biking,water sports or simply relaxing. We are a simple, relatively small camping site and can take med/small campervans,(no caravans) we like to keep it as a place where people can come and enjoy the area in peace and quiet, for that reason we dont take single sex groups or large mixed groups unless previously agreed.
On site there are toilets,hot showers, a washing up area and washing machine and dryer if needed.
There are shops in the nearby villages of Patterdale and Glenridding, also places to eat out, hire boats + cycles, outdoor clothing/camping suppliers etc... (if using 'sat-nav' to get here, type in CA11 0NL..)
