A Beautiful 17th Century Traditional Cumbrian Inn with recently refrubished en-suite accomodation & Fresh, local Homemade Produce in the Heart of the Eden Valley.
The Black Swan also has a 4.5 mile stretch of Fishing rights on the river Eden, famous for Trout and Salmon Fishing, of which day passes are available! So it's not uncommon to find Fresh, Wild Salmon on our Menu!
We take pride in our food, all of our chicken, beef, pork, lamb & game are from Local Cumbrian Farmers within a 15 mile radius of the pub! We also try to support local suppliers, all of our Fresh Fruit & Vegetables come from Stephenson's of Appleby, our Fish comes from the Fish Cellar, a local fishmonger from Penrith and a Selection of homegrown goods & free range eggs come from Pea Top Farm Just over the Road!
