It has a brand new restaurant called Signature serving 2 AA rosette food or for more casual dining try the Dove Bistro which serves tasty food and local ales. FROM THE SOUTH:M6 Motorway Exit 36 signed for A590 Kendal and South Lakes. Follow the dual carriageway to the large roundabout and take the 2nd exit signed A591 Windermere. Stay on this road and go past Windermere through the one way system in Ambleside following signs for Keswick. After Rydal Water you will then see Grasmere Lake on the left hand side and The Prince of Wales Hotel.Just after the hotel is the junction - roundabout - signed Grasmere Village. Turn left into the village. Follow the road round until you see the Church on the right hand side you now go over a bridge and round an ‘S’ bend in the road and you will see The Wordsworth Hotel on the right hand side.FROM THE NORTH:M6 Motorway Exit 40 signed for A66 Keswick. Continue along dual carriageway to roundabout signed Ullswater and Keswick take 2nd exit for Keswick. After about 15 minutes you will see a sign for Threlkeld village and also signs for Keswick Golf Club. At this point look out for a small junction on the left hand side signed ‘ST JOHNS IN THE VALE’. Take this small road and follow to the end. It rejoins the A591 to Windermere and avoids your having to go through Keswick. Join the A591 there.At junction with A591 turn left and follow the road until you see Grasmere village below. You take 2nd right hand turning into Grasmere village (opposite The Swan Hotel) and follow the road through the village. The Wordsworth Hotel is located on the left hand side just before you get to the Church.
