500 year old traditional Lakeland Inn set in beautiful Elterwater with the magnificent backdrop of The Langdale Fells
Beautifully located in The Langdale Valley, just four miles west of Ambleside and a ten minute drive over the hill from Wordsworth's Grasmere. The Inn is famed for its real ales, mostly brewed in Cumbria, and home produced, freshly cooked food, also mostly locally sourced. Relax in the oak-beamed, slate-floored bars or enjoy full waiter service in the dining room. Log fires blaze in the winter months, and enjoy the views from the sheltered, sunny patio when the weather's fine. There are nine double/twin comfortable en suite rooms available for overnight guests, who're also entitled to a pass for use of the leisure facilities at the Langdale Estate Country Club.
